Evan Rodrigues Leads Panthers to Game 2 Victory
Rodrigues scores twice in third period to give Florida a 2-0 series lead
Evan Rodrigues scored twice in the third period as the Florida Panthers downed the Edmonton Oilers 4-1 on Monday to take a 2-0 lead in the Stanley Cup Final.
Rodrigues, who entered this postseason with just 16 games of playoff experience, now has five goals in the series, including three in the third period.
The Panthers were able to outlast the Oilers to win Game 2 by a 4-1 decision. The game was tied at 1-1 entering the third period, but Rodrigues' two goals gave Florida the lead for good.
The 30-year-old Rodrigues isn't only outscoring those three talents 3-0 on the goal blotter two games into the Final. He's also generating more shots on goal.
