Love Adds 21 Points and 12 Rebounds
The Cleveland Cavaliers took an early lead in the Eastern Conference Finals with a 113-100 victory over the Boston Celtics in Game 1 on Tuesday night. LeBron James led the way for the Cavs with 30 points, while Kevin Love added 21 points and 12 rebounds.
The Celtics were led by Isaiah Thomas, who had 22 points, and Avery Bradley, who added 19 points. However, the Cavs were able to control the game from the start, shooting 53.8 percent from the field to the Celtics' 41.1 percent.
The Cavs also dominated the rebounding battle, outrebounding the Celtics 50-35. Love was particularly active on the boards, grabbing 12 rebounds to go along with his 21 points.
With the win, the Cavs take a 1-0 lead in the series. Game 2 will be played in Cleveland on Thursday night.
